Meditation has two aspects stopping and calming. Then looking deeply to transform.
This teaches the mind to stop running. When the mind has no place to run to it becomes present.
By this transformation we are present to each moment, each thought, and we are able to synthesize and synchronize awareness. We eliminate reflecting on the past which we cannot change and have no influence over. Liberated from the past we are free to discover who we truly are. This way we become fully conscious of the powers and possibilities of our mind.
Practicing stillness can lead us to experience a reality that exists beyond this world and the senses, a place of creativity. This can support the feeling that we are the master of our destiny. We are cultivating a timeless nature. Not past, present, future. We are living in the present.
